REACH Edmonton

Edmonton's Joint Use partners (the City of Edmonton and the Public, Francophone and Catholic School Boards) along with REACH Edmonton are working to provide access to school space for new and emerging Aboriginal, immigrant, refugee or special needs community groups during the summer.

These programs may include a combination of academic assistance, cultural (understanding, learning and reconnection), recreational and life skills.

Presently these schools still have space available:

Callingwood, 17335 - 76 Ave.

Available July 2-4 & July 15-18, Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

DS Mackenzie, 4020 - 106 St.

Available July 8-25, Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Parkallen, 6703 - 112 St.

Available July 8-11, Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

St. Elizabeth, 7716 - 36 Ave.

Available July 2-31, Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Thorncliffe, 8215 - 175 St.

Available July 2-18, Tuesday to Thursday (first week); Monday to Thursday (second week): 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Bookings are determined on a first come first serve basis!

Cost of the facility is $12/hour (including gym and possible classrooms). A group does not have to book the entire time as schools can be shared with other groups.

Note: Emerging refugee and immigrant groups may be able to access the City of Edmonton Space Rental Subsidy, Community Event Grant Application and Cultural Heritage Project.
