REACH Edmonton

The Philanthropist is marking Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation by profiling 150 Canadians in the social sector, including Lindsay Daniller, director of community initiatives and strategic development at REACH Edmonton.

The Philanthropist is an online journal for practitioners, academics, supporters and others engaged in the nonprofit sector in Canada. It publishes articles and information about the sector's important contributions to our communities, our country and our world while aiming to spark and facilitate debate among readers.

“As we mark the 150th anniversary of confederation, The Philanthropist is profiling Canadians from across the non-profit sector and putting a face to 150 individuals who work or volunteer in Canada’s social sector,” says the journal’s website.

Daniller said her inclusion on the list was unexepected.

"I was certainly surprised and honoured to hear that I was going to be profiled,” she said. “My passion is really around the work. What REACH is doing in the immigrant and refugee community and how we’re working to address racism in our community is valuable and important to ensure that everyone can live in a safer city.”
